I went down this rabbit hole and stumbled upon a few options. There’s this thing called Cairo Shell and another one called BB4win. But here’s the catch – some of these, like bbZero/bbLean, wouldn’t even open on my machine. It’s like they were from another time or something. So frustrating!
But I’m stubborn, so I kept at it. The whole point was to get rid of * running in the background and have a fresh, clean system that did exactly what I wanted. It’s like wanting to build your own car instead of driving what everyone else has, you feel me?

My Conclusion?
It is totally doable. You can absolutely change the Windows shell. Just be prepared to get your hands dirty and maybe mess up a few times along the way. But in the end, the reward of having a unique and personalized computer experience is totally worth it!
